I, like others that have voiced their opinions here, would love to see Moneydance for Android. Google is releasing versions of the Nexus One phone to all 4 major carriers in the US, and the Mortorola Droid has been a hot seller here. Android is a valid up anc coming competitor to the iPhone. I love Moneydance on PC and Mac, and would love to see it for Android.

If only sync worked, the HandyBank log only says :

AM Error during load and error check : unable to parse '' as integer Error
while processing Budget Bar Settings item

PM Unable to read downloaded data from Dropbox. MoneyDance extension 438
    detected.

Please go to your Budget Bars home page item in Moneydance and click
Settings. Check that everything is correct (make sure you don't have any
deleted categories selected, make sure the budget is valid and correct,
etc.) and click OK. Then try again.

Also, please send your support questions to mennesoft -at- gmail.com.

    Thanks and good luck!

Also just a reminder, feel free to seek tech support from your fellow users on here, but Handybank is third party software that we do not do support for, so if you want official support email mennesoft -at- gmail.com.

Handy Bank behaves weirdly. Either it can be open to see all account entries without entering the set password, or cannot synchronize with the desktop Money Dance. Handy Bank should work like other wallet/password software that require set password each time even the application is in back ground task. There are a lot of chances that Handy Bank cannot be synchronize with desk top Money Dance.

The sync feature for Handybank has been less than handy. This is the main purpose of the app and it fails to work consistently and smoothly. I found the Moneydance app for iPhone to work much better. Personally, I don't care about budgets. I want to be able to log my debit card purchases on my phone and sync then at the end of the day with my desk top. I wish Moneydance would simply take the lead on this and develop the app for android as well. This is the only thing I really miss from my iPhone.

I feel your pain, I have eventually got mine working after almost giving up.

    This may help resolve :

       - Remove extensions from MoneyDance, save close down
       - Remove handbank from the phone, switch off, restart
       - Install the MoneyDance extension (the latest, you don't really get a
choice though) for Handybank, save close
       - Install Handbank on your phone, wait at the enter code bit
       - Open MoneyDance and go through the paring stuff via WiFi first
       - This worked for me and then I converted to go via DropBox

In a nutshell, remove it all and restart the whole process

Works fine now and never go to the reason why.
There is a log on the phone, if you press and hold the status in the
Handybank home screen where it reports to have never sync'ed, this will open
a log which may point to something useful, or, the console in MoneyDance may
    be of some use.

    Hope this may help.

There is a 3rd party app called handybank for Android that can be synced with Moneydance.

however, i wish there was a trial (lite) version of handybank. i won't know how good the app is unless i use it for a few days =/

If you use DropBox, i can say handybank works well for some things. For example, the other day i was at the bank making an atm withdrawl. Before i got home, i opened my savings account in HandyBank and entered "Cash Withdrawl" and entered the amount, and when i got home it auto-sync'ed to my desktop copy next time i openned it without having to do much else.

I still think it's misssing a few things, for example i'd like it to have reminders (the author wrote saying that's coming in the wish list somewhere lower in priority) and perhaps once they have the bills they can implement a forecast feature, so i can see how much i -really- have in my account after i pay my bills that are upcoming.

Found a glitch in it tonight that is no big deal - when on the main screen (when you see the account list and hit back) after you sync it gives you the last time it synced with desktop version (which is the last time the desktop version was up if i understand right), but if you rotate your phone and it switched from portrait to landscape and back, the sync date is wrong (it's something like april 2011). The data is still right, just the displayed sync date is wrog.
