Money Foresight Forecast graph vs transaction list

Hi there.

I have a problem where the foresight graph does not accurately reflect the account balances at certain points, so I can't rely on the graph. Is there something obvious I'm missing, or is it generally unreliable?

Any help would be great.

    Hi John,

I've noticed a false peak at times on the graph upon opening MD 2019 (all builds so far). The peak will not disappear when changing screens (accounts, summary, etc.). The only way that the false peak disappears, is when I click on Money Foresight settings and click on 'Apply' or 'Ok'.

This is just a recent development with the release of MD 2019.

It isn't that big of a problem for me, as it resolves easily, but it isn't the way that it used to work.

    Regards,

Hi Toni - many thanks for this. Noob question: where can I find Money Foresight settings? :/

No problem. It's the little gear wheel at the top right above the graph. I just reported the issue to the Money Foresight bitbucket site:

Hi Toni - thanks for this.

It doesn't solve the problem for me: the lowest balance in the transaction list, is not the lowest balance depicted by the chart :/

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure that Kevin Stembridge (Money Foresight Developer) will respond to this thread.

    Take care,

    Tony

    Hi John,

It might be that you have some overdue reminders. In the settings there is an option to include overdue reminders in the starting balance on the chart. This is based on the premise that even though the date for the reminder has passed you will still be incurring that cost at some point in the future.

Let me know if that is the issue.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
