values and the currencies. However the problem remains if you are
moving a transaction between accounts with different currencies how
are you going to decide which exchange rate to use on the
transaction. You might have exchange rate history for the currency
in question and you might not. Either way the correct exchange rate
for on a particular transaction is unlikely to be the end of trade
rate that you have in the history.</p>

<p>That's what I initially thought, but then found the transaction
was marked dirty after I change the account/category and changing
the rate etc did nothing. The current situation means that MD deals
with the exchange rate and I just have to scroll and hit return on
each entry - could be worse.</p>
