I'm not sure if I would be much help with the Money or Currency
classes as we've currently got a solution that is
moneydance-specific and probably not generalizable enough to be a
standard. Basically, we use 64 bit long variables for currency
values and rely on a sort of Currency class and some static methods
to convert between currencies based on an internal exchange rate
table.

I am interested in contributing wherever I can though. Just let
me know what I can do to help!

Thanks, Sean

Sean Reillytag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2065672009-06-22T15:00:04Z2009-06-22T15:00:05ZJava Standards

Hi Sean,

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I plan to broaden the
discussion I started with mostly fellow JSR-275 EG members and a
few others in the next few days or weeks. I already prepared an
email, but also try to add input from e.g. my co SpecLead
Jean-Marie and what he did in JScience so far.

Which would be the best email, the one on the reply to field or
this website, or do you prefer e.g. that behind your LinkedIn
account? Wherever you prefer I'd be happy to include you in this
discussion.

Kind Regards, Werner

CATtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/2065672009-06-22T16:53:42Z2009-06-22T16:53:42ZJava Standards

Hi Werner,

My private email is probably better: sreilly@seanreilly.com
(which is the same as sreilly@moneydance.com).

Thanks! Sean

Sean Reilly
