Yes it (of course) uses MD data/APIs. I can consider changes, but I need to understand the problem more. At the moment, I don’t understand your issue. I’ll need to be able to reproduce it.

Question. Do you have stock splits? Is it only wrong on these? Are you using avg cost basis or lot controlled?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-07T16:16:31Z2022-05-07T16:16:31ZExtract Data Extension - Request

The ideal would be a (test) dataset with the issue that I can look at and fix the issue?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-07T16:28:15Z2022-05-07T16:28:15ZExtract Data Extension - Request

Ah also I know that one of the CB reports was fixed for cost basis and the other was not. As far as I can tell, the StockGlance 2020 appears to be using the same Cost Basis data as the Portfolio Report.

I have no stock splits and am using a mix of average cost and lot matching.

Can you elaborate on what you require regarding a data set and I'll see what I can muster.

rayplayertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-09T09:34:37Z2022-05-28T20:51:35ZExtract Data Extension - Request

Do MD/File/New and create a new dummy dataset. Create a security and investment account (with dummy data). Add some buy / sells etc until you can reproduce the issue. Then file/export backup and send me the xxx.moneydancearchive file to look at. You can email me:

Then just file/open your original.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-11T11:20:04Z2022-05-11T11:20:04ZExtract Data Extension - Request

FYI - my research indicates that the cost basis report is the one that is actually wrong, and the other ones are correct.....

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-29T12:22:22Z2022-05-29T12:26:20ZExtract Data Extension - Request

Hi Stuart, apologies for taking so long but I have done as you suggested and was unable to replicate the problem. In my dummy dataset the Cost Basis in the Cost Basis Report is correct, and aligns with the Investment Performance Report and the Portfolio Report for any given date.

Based on what I have done it looks like the issue is in my main data file and the portfolio report is corrupted somehow. The Cost Basis Report and the Investment Performance Report align for any given date, but the Portfolio Report uses the same 'incorrect' Cost Basis regardless of date. Not sure how to fix that, but many thanks for your help and apologies for wasting your time.

I also notice a similar report from old at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/28009-cost-...

rayplayertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-29T13:19:04Z2022-05-29T13:19:04ZExtract Data Extension - Request

Do you have any sell/buy/MiscXxx for zero share amounts?
Have you at any time sold all before buying more?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/541780622022-05-30T10:45:35Z2022-05-30T10:46:04ZExtract Data Extension - Request

Hi Stuart, I have tracked it down to the way I recorded a Capital Consolidation.

The Cost Basis is now reporting correctly after I followed some of the advice in a discussion at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/investments/3966-cap... Essentially I was using a sell to change the share number when I should have been using the stock split function.

Many Thanks
