I'm a fellow user, and whilst I don't have an answer for you, you can answer your own question by going directly to Yahoo.com in a browser and checking. QL is just automating what you could do yourself via Yahoo? Or perhaps I misunderstood your question?
The quotes on Yahoo are correct, the quotes on the quote loader are from
last week. One time all of the quotes are from 5/20, minutes later maybe
half are correct. I've never had a problem with the quote loader
I wonder if anybody else experienced this today.
Your version of QL is quite a bit out of date, please update to the
latest version (3047) by going to Extensions/Manage Extensions/Installed
and removing Quote Loader, then go to Extensions/Manage
Extensions/Available and selecting Quote Loader. Once installed please
restart Moneydance and run Quote Loader and do a 'Get Prices'.
WOW you are running as Mike says a very old build of Quote Loader just under 2 years old and some 20 builds out of date. Periodically check to see if Quote Loader has been updated.
Anyway I ran your first 4 listed Securities using build 3047 and they look OK, see screen shot.
I am running Quote Loader 3047, and I am experiencing the same problem. The extension will update the first 40 or so stocks and then does not update the rest of a long list of stocks. Those stocks not updated have a price date of 5/20/22, also.
To help investigate this issue can you provide the following information.
Your computer operating system.
Moneydance version Build e.g. 2022.4(4080)
Quote Loader build.
A list of securities created as follows.
The following instruction creates a simple spread sheet which contains all your Security Names and Ticker symbols.
The instruction is based on using Excel, but other spread sheet applications should work as well but some of the instruction may be slightly different.
Exporting data to excel.
1. In Moneydance in the Side Bar click on the report “Portfolio”.
2. Click Edit, Reset, OK and then Copy to Clipboard.
Import into excel.
3. Open excel and in the top left-hand cell click paste.
4. Delete all columns except the columns containing Security Names and Symbols.
5. Delete all rows that do not contain Ticker Symbols, including the row containing the word “Ticker”.
6. You should now be left with a list of Security Names and their associated Ticker Symbols.
7. Save file as a CSV file type.
If any of the securities require a Exch Mod add then to the spread sheet. Also note the Source you are using.
Produce a log of events.
In Quote Loader under HELP set DEBUG to DETAILED.
Restart Moneydance and click HELP – CONSOLE WINDOW.
Then start Quote Loader and click GET PRICES.
Once the run is complete go back to the open CONSOLE WINDOW and click SAVE and save a copy of the log to post.
Quote Loader was written to help people keep track of their portfolio and as such was geared to people with 100 or less securities. Recently I have found errors cropping up where people have large numbers of securities. Build 3047 introduced changes that cope with people with up to 300 securities, though this is dependent on the speed of their computer and internet response time. Basically Quote Loader will time out.
Please can you respond to derekkent23's request so I can investigate further.
