I downloaded and installed Moneydance. Should Moneydance be able to connect to my Bank and download my current transactions? Should it be able to keep my local file sync'd with my Bank? Should I be able to export to a .csv file? I haven't bought it yet until I know if it is something that I am looking for. I am looking for a replacement for Quicken.

When I hit "Download Transactions" all it does it open up a web to my bank. I have to put in my login/password yet it doesn't do anything once that happens. Should it be downloading my transactions or is that something that Moneydance doesn't do? I am trying to find a tutorial or documentation as to what Moneydance is supposed to do or not do. Sorry for so many questions.

Looks like a nice product.

    I'm user, not support.

There's a couple of possible ways to get information easily from your bank into MD.
1)You can probably go to your bank's website and manually download a file that MD will be able to import.
2)MD can automatically download from banks that have enabled Direct Connect. Here is a listing of those banks: https://infinitekind.com/fi.

Here is a link to MD Knowledge Base articles having to do with online use: http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay
