Chase drops contract with Quicken Credit Card 10/1/2015. Does MD still work?

Chase and Quicken have stopped their joint credit card operation where Chase has been processing the "Quicken Credit Cards" for some time - effective Oct 1, 2015. Chase is automatically shifting me to a Chase account and issuing a new credit card and account number. So far that has been seamless.

I called Chase and asked if their web transactions download would still download into Quicken, and they said yes it would. I have been successfully using this to download into MD for many months.

I just now logged on to Chase.com and they still offer six download formats, including QIF. This should be the "new" system (or the continuing system after the Quicken joint venture has terminated).

Does MD suggest I continue to pretend I am on a Quicken program when downloading monthly transactions from Chase under the new system and use the QIF? Is there a better way?

Note I did not discuss MD with the Chase agent on the phone, so I don't know if they will support you, but MD did not show on the available download choices.

Thanks
Bob

    Hi Bob,

If you'd like to download files from Chase, your best bet would be to use OFX or QFX files. They have the best support in Moneydance. However, you can use Direct Connect to download from Chase through Moneydance without having to go to the Chase website at all. You'll just need to activate the service on their website. First, log on to Chase's site, and click the Customer Center Tab. Click on "Financial Management Software". Select "Activate Direct Access through PFM service" and follow the prompts from there.

Good luck getting set up, and if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
