Citibank setup

I have a costco Citibank credit card. I'm trying to setup online access and get the following error:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.

Bank Name: CitiBusiness Credit Cards

A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: HTTP Error:403 Forbidden.
I've tried using Citicards as well as Citi Business credit cards, both give me the same error. The website URL I'm using is https://accountonline.citi.com/cards/svc/LoginGet.do
Can anyone assist with this setup?

    Same problem.

    I THINK it's an https issue.

    I found the OFX data for Citibank, and it LOOKS like it's going to work, but then it asks for a new password, and wants the password to be "between 4 and 4 characters," which surely is bogus.

    So, I'm stuck on setting up online banking to Citi credit card.

    Thoughts?

    We are aware of the issue with Citibank, our connections specialist and lead developer are working on a solution.

    We will notify you both as soon as we have a solution.

    Unfortunately, currently the only way to get your transactions from Citibank into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, QIF, OFX or OFC files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.

    I have this problem with an AT&T Universal Card. But the Web site for AT&T Universal Card does not appear to offer a way to download the transactions (unlike the regular Citi Web site).

    You'll probably have to contact their support site to figure out how to get those downloads. It's extremely uncommon nowadays for a bank not to offer any compatible files for download of standard banking or credit card accounts.

    You were correct, of course. They call it "Export" and the
    transactions import without problems into Moneydance.

    Still, it would be nice if it would work from within Moneydance, as it
    did until recently.

    This is weird because I have one Citi account that syncs fine within Moneydance and one that doesn't.

    I too have this problem and registered it as a comment on Barbara M issue...

    With my previous MoneyDance version 2017 starting around Nov 26, 2018 I could no longer download transactions from CitiCards. It worked fine until then. After the holidays I've tried to figure this out and one of my steps was to download the latest Mondeydance but that did not work either. So I removed Online Banking from this account and just tried to re-add it. But I get a similar issue as Barbara M notes above where I can not select Online banking (See attached). I called Citi Cards and they say nothing has changed in the account to prevent downloads. Is this Moneydance or Citibank issue? Hope this helps resolve the issue because I have a lot of Citicard transactions to process as a backlog.

    From one of the log output above, the URL looks good

    Using a third-party tool, I can see that the server is accepting connection and will return response. So I think the bank's server is OK.

    The above OFX info works for Citicard only. I have been trying to directly download account info from Citibank for months now without success. Why is there no response from MoneyDance on this? Did I miss something?

    I too have problems connecting to Citi Cards, and like others, it started around November 2018. I receive the same response that Jason has posted above.

    Since I am located outside the US and have had problems with other services that don't understand that one can do business in the US without actually living there, I took the same OFX request that fails, logged into a shell account on a server located in the US, and used CURL to post it. It worked as expected.

    I'm curious to know if others who are getting the 403 forbidden are also located outside the US.
