Make sure that you have a copy or working backup of your data.

1) Something that you can try for this issue is to reset the sync to the USAA account. Doing so will instruct Moneydance to download any and all available transactions from USAA's server.
To do so, open Moneydance to the USAA account in question.
From the MD menu bar, go to Online > Set Up Online Banking.
In the resulting form, click the 'Reset Sync' button.

2) From the MD menu bar, go to File > Passwords.
In the resulting form, make sure that a Master Password is set and that the two check-boxes are ticked.
If they already are ticked, un-tick them, restart Moneydance and re-tick them.
You may need to re-enter your passwords one more time in order for Moneydance to 'learn' them. You may need to do so for all of your accounts so be prepared for that outcome.

However, the password is required for each account. I have tried the new account several times but no ‘learning’ has occurred. Also no luck with the other accounts.

dwktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/467989312019-01-14T18:08:26Z2019-01-14T18:08:26Znew account

Hi David,

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that it worked.

As for the passwords...
Did you try un-ticking > restarting MD > re-ticking the two check-boxes in the File > Passwords menu?

And resynced. And I could then download my new account correctly.

But it appears I was not clear on item 2. The autofill to which I refer is the PIN for the bank account (same for all my accounts). MD is now asking it for each account when I download ALL.

Thanks again,

Hmm. It sounds like something is stuck.

There is a menu item listed under the 'Online' menu to 'Forget Online Passwords'. It might be worth a try to see if that 'clears the deck', so to speak and allows for MD to then remember your passwords going forward.

If I were you, I would try this out on a copy of my data file, just in case the results are less than ideal.

Ah, OK. What version and build number of Moneydance are you using?
e.g. MD 2017.10 (1706)

Has anything changed recently with your computing environment that may have triggered this odd behavior?

Is your data file stored in the default location or have you moved it?

I suppose the next thing to try in the process of elimination would be to create a new data file, create a USAA account in the new data file and then see if the new data file can remember your passwords.
(Make sure to name the new data file a different name than your current one)

If the new data file works as expected it may give support something to work with.

I downloaded the latest version of MD which was one upgrade ahead of mine. When I used it the account passwords were remembered after the first entry for each.

I’ll instruct MD to send you a check for doing their work !!

Thanks,

Excellent! I should've asked what version you were using from the get go. :)
