I am a Fidelity Investments client and a Moneydance user.

In your OP you mention Fidelity Investments as well as a routing number. Fidelity Investments does not require a routing number, only an account number.

Your use of a routing number suggests to me that you are attempting to connect to a Bank type account rather than an Investment type account. Perhaps it is a Fidelity Cash Management account.

I'm not a client of a Fidelity Cash Management account so I can't speak to which of the available Fidelity connections it is that you should use.

If yours is indeed a Cash Management account, then confirm that with Ethan and hopefully, he can point you in the right direction.

That is what I was referring to. Investment type accounts in Moneydance do not offer a field for a routing number. (see screenshot)

It is therefore possible that you are attempting to connect using the wrong Fidelity connection for the type of account that you have, hence the grayed out options on the 'Online Banking Signup' form.

Maybe my assumptions are wrong. I do have a Fidelity Cash Management Account which I assumed would be setup in MD as a "Banking" account and when setting up the online banking feature, I used the Financial Institution "Fidelity Investments". Are these assumptions correct?

There are only a few posts that I could find in the forums regarding Fidelity CMA's.

From what I could derive, you should try setting up the account as an 'Investment' type account in Moneydance and use the 'Fidelity Investments' connection.

Also, if I may make a suggestion, when replying to posts on the forums, it is always best to return to the forums to do so rather than using your email client. Your email client is quoting all of the posts in the thread and it doesn't render well.

Your last suggestion was correct. Fidelity promotes this account like a bank checking account replacement. It is in fact as you said an investment Account in MD that is accessed via Fidelity Investments. Thank you for your help. All is good now.
