Can't set up online banking
I am a new MoneyDance user, but not a happy one. I've paid for and registered my copy, but am unable to set up online banking. That is, when I select the Online Banking Option I can't progress further.
Please advise.

Hello,
Can you clarify in a bit more detail what happens when you go to Online -> Set up Online Banking from the menu bar? Does the setup window appear and you can't click on anything, does it not appear at all, do you get an error message, etc?

I'm a fellow user.
If you mean when you select the online menu item the window opens but you cannot select "Set up online banking" this is likely because you can only setup online banking when you are viewing an account register, so for example it will not work if you are viewing the summary window. if this is not the case perhaps you can elaborate further.

Yes, thank you, you nailed it. The problem was that I wasn't on an account
that I wanted to set up. I still have a problem--MD claims the userid or
pwsd is invalid. They work with the financial institution, however. But
at least I'm making progress.

The username/password combination you use for Internet banking is quite often different to the combination used for Direct Connect, they are usually completely separate computer systems and often the institutions have not got the systems that would facilitate a common username/password for both. Also many institutions will want to specifically enable Direct Connect for your usage.
