just a user - more information would be useful.
What version of Moneydance? On a mac, got it.
When you say "cannot download", do you mean via direct connect, Moneydance+, or importing a downloaded file from the Amex website (and if this last one, what file type)?
Also, was it working before and now it is not, or you are still trying to get this set up and not succeeding?

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
According to the information you've shared in this thread you are encountering problems manually importing/downloading QFX files from Amex, is this correct?
Could you let us know which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Moneydance --> About Moneydance
Generally, you could check the following:
The filter at the top of the register should be set to "All".
There is a button that toggles between "split" and "combined mode" at the top-right corner of the register, next to New Transaction.
If this is in split mode, then all unconfirmed transactions will be shown in a second register which appears below the regular register.
This can sometimes be collapsed, so that all it shows is a bar with a label that says "N unconfirmed transactions". If you see that bar, drag it up vertically and you'll see the unconfirmed transactions in that list.

just a user - QFX files are now downloaded from the American Express website by choosing Quicken as the download "format"...
is this what you were asking about?
