Moneydance having issues downloading transactions for online banking
Within the past couple days - Moneydance will initiate the connection with online banking (Truist Bank) but then the status bar at bottom of screen goes blank and the nothing seems to continue. The transactions never download.
I have also had to try several times to get bill payment transactions to go thru as well with online banking.
The software seems to be working other than those issues listed above.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm having the same issue. I tried to recreate the connection (per instructions shown in support) and Moneydance can't get the profile.Moneydance is not handling the error and is stuck. The only way out at this point is to kill Moneydance in the task manager. This is failing in windows 11 and Linux Mint versions. Both systems are running the latest versions of Moneydance. I can access my accounts and manually download the transactions.

An update of my previous post; In trying to redo the Truist online banking settings, after I select 'Truist Online Banking" in Moneydance an press Enter, Moneydance gets hung up and completely unresponsive. Killing the moneydance transaction is the only way out the I have found. Attached is a screenshot taken when it is hung-up.

Hi all,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Unfortunately, there is an ongoing problem with the "Truist Online Banking" connection, which we are working to resolve.
Our connection specialist was unable to diagnose the issue and resolve the Truist problems, so the issue has been escalated to our lead developer.
This thread has been flagged and we will notify you directly as soon as we have an update.
In the meantime, you can update your accounts by downloading files from your banks website. It is my understanding that Truist only offers the PDF format.
Perhaps the video on this page will help you to convert your data file to CSV.
Finally, the steps for importing these files into Moneydance are outlined in this article.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Truist does offer quicken format for downloads. There is a pull-down with formats to select from. The default is blank which probably yields pdf.

Technical Support essentially told me no changes have been made to their OFX Interface.
I still believe issue may be on Truist as trying to establish other OFX connections have proven successful.

For future reference, do you have a contact at Truist who’s knowledgeable about OFX?

Per Truist - no changes have been made to their OFX interface.

That's much better news! If you can use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.
The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the Knowledge Base.

Alternatively, since Truist support Plaid connections you could consider subscribing to Moneydance +
Subscribing to this service requires that you own a license of Moneydance 2022.6 (4097) or Moneydance 2023.1 (5006).
Then you can subscribe to Moneydance + as outlined here.
After a 30 day free trial, this service will cost $4 monthly. However the subscription is cancellable at any time. In other words, if in the meantime the OFX service is fixed, you can revert to that, as you require.
