I followed these steps and tried to reestablish OFX service. These steps do not fix the problem.

    Hi David,
    We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

    Can you try completely resetting your connection to your bank and see if that fixes the problem you're seeing?

    I'm sending a file called 'remove_one_service.py_' that will help do that.

    Before proceeding, take a manual backup via File --> Export Backup.

    To use the .py file, first save it to your computer and then follow these steps:

    1. In Moneydance, select Window --> Show Moneybot Console

    2. In the window that opens, select 'Open Script' then navigate to the .py file wherever you saved it on your system.

    3. Select 'Run' to execute the file - you may need to drag the window to the right to reveal the button. (not Run Snippet!)

    4. You will be asked to select which connection you want to clear. Choose your bank, and click OK. You'll get a confirmation message when the connection has been removed. Close the window when done.

    5. Set up the connection to your bank as outlined here.

    Since all of your settings have been cleared, you should get the most recent connection information for your bank.

    Hopefully, that will work. If it doesn't, please send us the contents of your error console.

    Here's how to get the logs:

    1)  In Moneydance, click on the Help menu and select the Console Window option.  This will open the console messages window.
    2) While the Console Window is open, attempt to connect to your bank.  Any error messages should be recorded to the Console.
    3) Select all of the text in the Console and use the "Copy to Clipboard" button at the bottom to copy the text.
    4) Paste the text from the message window into a text file (preferably saved with a .txt extension) and attach that file to your response here.

    This didn’t fix the problem. MoneyDance freezes on the window for “Receiving Financial Information Profile”. I have to force quit to close MoneyDance. By the way, when I select Set Up Online Banking, the MoneyDance+ screen comes up, not the screen to choose either MoneyDance+ or OFX. So, I selected Set Up Online Bill Payment to go through the set up screens.

    This will remove the stale MD+ association and allow you to select the OFX service method from "Setup Online Banking".

    I have tried all your suggestions except one. You said to open the console window and then try to connect to the bank, When I select Console Window in the Help menu, the other menu choices are not active so i cannot try to connect with the console window open.

    Nothing so far has fixed the problem.

    I'm sorry to hear nothing seems to have worked so far.

    Would you be able to send us a copy of your Moneydance error logs? The logs should include information on what might be causing the issue.

    They are saved on your computer as an errlog.txt file. You need to navigate to:Local Disk(C:)>Users>Your Name>.moneydance>errlog.txt

    Finally you can copy the full content into your next reply here.

    Could you select your Truist account from the left side bar and navigate to Online->Set Up Online Banking->Connect to OFX service - is the option still greyed out?

    Downloads from all other accounts are fine. It's only Truist that isn't working. Also, when i try to set up OFX online banking with Truist in a new account, the Truist link that comes up doesn't work, so the settings that MoneyDance has in this set up link are not currently valid. How do I and/or MoneyDance find out how to link to Truist?

    Unfortunately this seems to be a general issue, affecting all Truist users.
    Please stay reassured that I've referred your query to the connection specialist, who will be able to answer your query in greater detail and provide further insight.

    We'd recommend importing your data manually for the time being. You can download it using the OFX or QFX file format, if available. If not, use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.
    The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in this article from the Knowledge Base.
