Moneydance+ sync on 2 computers

I'm using Moneydance+ primarily on a desktop mac but when I travel I like to keep current with Moneydance+ on my MacBook. Downloading bank transactions automatically is a nice convenience on my desktop mac but when I use the laptop, it downloads everything a second time and requires merging the two transactions into one . Is there preference or something I'm missing that will remedy this? It's also annoying how the repeated download will repopulate my memo line with so much unneeded info after I have previously cleaned it all up.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Settings / network... Turn off the auto download in the background setting.

As for the memo 'mess'.. Install toolbox extension, then on the extensions menu, use the Toolbox: Zap md+ memo fields extension.....

    I'm a fellow user.

I assume you are using Moneydance's syncing engine to sync between the two system. This should mean the data on both machines is identical at the onset.

I would suggest posting the transaction details of the original transaction that is on the notebook as well as the transaction details on the freshly downloaded transaction to that machine. With the right data the transaction should just be rejected as already existing, taking the transaction into the register implies that the data that is used to identify duplicates is different.

Thank you. I’ll try that! Will it preserve the memo fields that I’d like to keep… the ones that I’ve filled in myself?
