Hi all, is there a step by step guide how to reconcile to the bank? I hav tried downloading the banks statements and them synching in but then I am not sure what to do after this? Does Moneydance not link to UK banks? I need a quicker way of reconciling as it is taking ages manually?

Are you downloading csv, qif, or ofx file(s)?

Ofx is best, then qif, lastly csv.

Once imported, can you see the txns?

If ofx file, you will have to merge/confirm txns.

    CMD-B reconcile.

OK, I can download a QIF file.

    What does CMD-B reconcile mean?

    THank you

⌘ B is a keyboard shortcut - this will open the Reconcile window for the current account, as outlined in this article

    No, unfortunately you can't.
Currently, Moneydance supports automatic downloads using Direct Connect (mainly in the US) or Moneydance + (US and Canada).

That being said, we are looking into alternatives, and we're trying to get UK banks connections available via a different service. Once set up, this service will allow connections to UK banks.

Please be assured that getting UK banks included in Moneydance is a very high priority for us. I can't provide an exact time scale for when this will be available, but I have flagged this discussion so we can notify you directly when UK banks automatic downloads are available.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

You double click the qif to start the import.
Then you set the account and import
No. You don’t merge/confirm with qif
    Check the txns are there
Then when in the register, click CMD-B (mac) or it might be alt or ctrl -B on windows. Then populate the reconcile window and go for it.
