New transactions download with annoying additions
Each downloaded transaction has a second line under the payee. I want that line left blank, in order to add my own notes. I used Moneydance up until about two years back and that line was always blank. I am now using Moneydance 2023.3 and it automatically includes this info that I don’t want. How do I change the settings to leave it blank? I don’t want to go into each transaction each time and delete the second line. See attached screenshot.

It appears you are using MD+ to download your transactions.
You cannot change the settings to leave it blank at this time.
However you are not the only person who would prefer that some "second lines" be blank. There is a Toolbox extension add-on called "Zap MD+/ofx/qif memo fields".
It has quite a few options (as different users want to zap (or keep) different things), you probably want to look at MD+ options. Note this does zap multiple fields at once, but of course has be run once in a while to zap new ones.
I use this for myself with my desired settings about twice a month.

You can ignore the second line and change it to what you want as well.
You can also note that if you do that the zap extension will leave your personal notes alone.
