Deactivate Moneydance+ To Change Email

The email address associated with my Moneydance+ subscription is one I no longer use. I wanted to resubscribe with an active email.

I unlinked all my bank accounts under Online>Set Up Moneydance+>Accounts, then refreshed.

Once the page was clear of accounts, I clicked on Manage Account, and followed the prompt to cancel my subscription. I received an email confirming the cancellation, and then proceeded to close/reopen/upgrade Moneydance.

I had to pay for the 2024 version like many users are finding out recently, which is fine. I'm also not opposed to the new fees Moneydance+ is requiring. The problem is I can't unlink my current file from that old email address!

When I go to Online>Set Up Moneydance+>Setup, it still has that old account and says "You're fully connected!"

I can't remove the Moneydance+ license using the Toolbox because it won't allow me to do so if the license is still showing as "activated".

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program and restore from a backup, but apparently the license is linked to the backup folder as well.

How do I disconnect this old Moneydance+ license? At what point will it allow me to sign up again for the service with my active email? Surely there's a way to do this?

    Future me here to report that I ended up just cancelling the subscription and waiting until the license was deactivated. Then I used the Toolbox to "zap" away the Moneydance+ information and started over by signing up with a good email.

    I hope at some point that process can be made smoother and easier, but for now that's how I "resolved" it.

    Can I ask future you what "Toolbox" did you use to zap away the MD+ info?

    Generally, if it is a matter of replacing the email associated to a subscription and the subscription isn't cancelled, (without having to subscribe again) you can contact support directly and we should be able to replace the old email address with a new one at our end.
