Plaid won't connect to Citi, gives stupid message.
This is the crap I get when trying to connect my wife's Citi account to Moneydance. It doesn't even let me put in a user ID or password.

That's correct. There is an issue with creating new accounts currently with Plaid/MD+ - since about June 26 (or so), Plaid decided that Moneydance was "over some sort of connection limit" and prevented any new accounts being made (older accounts that worked are still working).
It took some time to diagnose why this was happening (about 3-4 days including adding a weekend) but the first paragraph describes the current state MD (and us users who also worked on this) understand. Plaid has been contacted, a limit increase was requested, and an explanation as to "what is going on" was also requested.
As always a four day weekend intervenes (seems that always happens! ;) ), so this is definitely being pursued by MD/IK, but.... time will tell.

Howdy! I got same error. thanks for the informative response. Just purchased tool and online service. So of course trying to get online. Ha! well it IS a holiday right? ;) I trust by responding here we will be able to get updates by following this conversation?

If your bank supports OFX direct connect, that still works for new connections, as it is a direct link to the bank. Many people take an all or none approach to MD+/Plaid, but if I can connect via OFX (which works for less banks than it used to) I will always do that first versus MD+ connections only. So I have both types of connections scattered among all my accounts. For me OFX support includes Fidelity investments, Vanguard, and American Express (credit cards).
A list of OFX/direct connections is available here, but don't rely on it 100%, as the list is still shrinking.

You notice no one from Moneydance support is even bothering to respond to these messages anymore?
