I found out that my bank - Chase Bank does not support files that are compatible with moneydance services. I would like to request a refund.

Thank you,
Russell Singson

    Hello Russell,

I would be happy to authorize a refund and I am inclined to offer you technical assistance first. This is not an attempt to get out of giving you a refund, if that is what you want let me know and I will authorize it today. However if there is something specific you believe that I might be able to assist you with I am at your service.

I can confidently say that Chase supports files for downloading that are compatible with Moneydance. I personally regularly download my credit card history from their website. When you go to download your transaction history, choose the QFX file format, which is the best option they offer for importing into Moneydance. The QIF format will also work, but is more limited.

Sometimes the files banks offer for download vary based on the account type, so if you're referring to a different kind of account please let us know, but the basic instructions should be the same.

I think I might have figured out how to get QIF file from my chase
downloads. Please hold off on the refund for now. I have to learn how to
navigate the Moneydance system. It is a troubling learning curve for me. Do
you have some suggestions (video tutorials).
All I really want to do is categories my income and expenses so I can
submit a single sheet of papar to my accountant letter her know my Gross,
    expenses and net.

    just a user,

Most credit cards and banks will allow you to download transactions in multiple formats. With the Chase credit card I have I scroll down on the initial page after logging in and select "All Transactions", then you will see the down arrow symbol to the top right next to the printer icon. After clicking the down arrow you will get a screen showing your account and file type. (defaults to spreadsheet). Click down arrow and select Quicken Web Connect (QFX), then download. It's process is probably similar on Chase checking also. QFX is the format you want to use. It's a step up from QIF.

    Hello,

We have detailed information on most aspects of the program in our online knowledge base: https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb

I'd suggest starting with the first few sections, and then choosing where to go from there based on what you need most from the program. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Chase have historically had a problem with the QIF files they have produced, they are often incorrectly structured.

In general OFX/QFX is the better format.
