Transactions always classified as Debits

I download transactions (from Chase) using QFX. They always are classified as debits; even when they are credits. Can MD tell the difference between debit and credit transactions for credit cards? All these transactions are classified as Expenses - which they usually are. Sometimes they are credits. I have discussed this in another discussion but have not gotten a response for about one week.

Thank you, Bob

We have seen some institutions interpret specifications like OFX and QIF in rather interesting ways and hence see problems like this on occasions.

Under the menu option File => Preferences on the Network tab select the option "Ignore Transaction Types in Favor of Amount Signs" and see if that works better for you.

I did what you suggested (I clicked on Settings => Network tab, then selected "Ignore Transactions in Favor of Amount Signs". And it worked!
Thank you for your very quick response. (Just yesterday one of the transactions imported was a Credit and it imported it as a Deposit.)
    Thanks, Bob
