Bank Password
Bank of America required me to change my password. I use Moneydance+. How do I update/change my Bank password in moneydance?
I went to passwords. I have to check Set Master Password and Store passwords in file. I entered the same Master Password (no reason to change) and clicked OK. Got kicked out to the main menu. So, how do I do it?
Thanks
alex

Hi Alex,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
You could try removing and recreating the connection. In order to achieve this navigate to Online menu->Moneydance+ Set up->Accounts and where it reads "Connected" on the right, click and select disconnect in the popup. Then try to recreate the connection as outlined here.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Hi Maddy,
Thank you for your response.I do not know how Moneydance+ does the downloading from Bank of America. Two days ago, after I changed the password on the bank site, it seemed to get the transactions just fine without changing anything in Moneydance. Since then, no new transactions were downloaded but it seems like the process is going as usual. Is that possible?I am thinking to give it couple more days and see what happens. Shouldn't I get an error message if things don't work?I am reluctant to change anything if it is not needed. I guess you know how everything works. Do I need to update the password in Moneydance+?
Please let me know,
alex

It depends on the bank's setup. Sometimes md+ (Plaid) creates an access key and uses that (so your password is irrelevant), but where it actually logs in then it will need your updated password..
Maddy gave you the steps to delete and create the md+ connection in her post #1
If it's not working, recreate the connection.

In addition to Stuart's comment, I thought it might be useful mentioning that you might need to enter the new credentials, if/when you are asked to 'relink' your accounts, at any point in time.
