Venmo - how is the best way to handle transactions when the auto import is only showing one side?

Using the MoneyDance+ features, I have set it up to automatically download my Venmo account's transactions. The problem is, there are transactions where Venmo doesn't actually transfer the money to the Venmo account, it just acts as a go between and pulls the money directly from my bank account. So, the bank account import is fine because I see the money go to Venmo, and I can categorize the outging Venmo transaction as appropriate... but the Venmo balance continues to drop further and further because it doesn't have a transaction for pulling the money into the Venmo account. Anyone else come up with a good workaround for this?

    What type of account is your Venmo local account within Moneydance?

    Is it set up correctly?

    The Venmo account is a "Bank" account.

    Usually I don't want to do actual transfers in the system because if I do, I can't keep track of what the transfer was for... however, in this case, it does make sense to have it be an actual transfer. Thanks for the guidance.
