MD+ Importing Wrong Dates

Hey everyone,

Just getting MD+ set up for the first time.

I linked my banks various accounts.

Many of the dates are not matching the dates on my banks transaction list. A downloaded .csv version of the transactions matches perfectly.

I set an initial balance on the accounts from the date of the first day of download, but my final account balance is way off. With the dates off, checking where the import went wrong is too tedious.

I found out about merging transactions and was able to get transactions merged between checking and credit card for instance.

Not sure where I am going wrong. Need help with some troubleshooting ideas.

I did a .csv import of some earlier transactions and those came out perfect.

   Hi Andrew,

   Regarding the Dates:

   If you want the Transaction dates to match the Bank transaction dates, check to make sure that the box is checked under File/Preferences/Network Tab/ "Use Bank Dates for Merged Transactions." Otherwise your manually entered dates will overwrite them during merging.

   I did see that option.

   The issue I'm having involves more dates than just the merged transaction dates. It's many of the dates that were imported.

   Somewhere in there a mistake must have been made as well because the account balance up to today does not match the account balance my bank has listed.

   Many of the dates were lumped together, so when I sort the transactions by date they are way out of order and so it is hard to go line by line to find where the error occurred.
