HSBC new OFX Download in the UK

HSBC have recently updated their business banking site. They provide OFX files to download.

When I have done this from "Recent transactions" the import fails with a java error
When I do this from a statement it does import, but virtually everything comes through as a credit. Looking in the OFX Debits seem to have a negative value. There are, annoyingly, a couple of exceptions too.

This happened on both version 1855 and 1860.

Does anyone know of a way around this?

This may be an issue with how HSBC has coded the OFX. We may need to tweak the import function to make this work. I chatted with our lead developer and he asked for the following if possible.

What was the error message you received when trying to open the ofx?

Try the import again then go to help > console window, use the copy to clipboard function to paste into a word app and attach to this thread.

If possible could you attach a copy of the file causing the problem? If you feel uncomfortable attaching the ofx, you can open it in a word app use the find and replace function to redact any personal information.
