Error Description: java.io.IOException: HTTP Error:400 Bad Request

What is causing this error and how can it be corrected?

    Hi Hunter,

    I'm another Moneydance customer, like you. You didn't state the name of your bank, but it it's US Bank, it's a known issue:

    A new version, which corrects all ssl connection errors, is due to be released post-haste.

    Thanks for the heads up. I’m not impressed with MD support they don’t
    seem to keep their product current or tested. But there seems to be few
    alternatives.

    Hi Guys,

    I'm sorry coyote isn't impressed. I've been a long time MD user and love it. I found MD because I got sick and tired of Quicken's re-up policy every couple of years.

    ANY WAY, I'm also still having a similar issue with 5/3rd Bank. Here's the error. I hope it is fixed ASAP. Thanks.

    With problems like this its so important to list your bank and type of account, some people do, but if you dont how can you expect Moneydance to fix the issue with hundreds of banks out there. Also its importamt to post the version and build of Moneydance your are running e.g. 2019.2(1865). if you are running old versions/builds this could be the problem.

Can you share the source of your info about the new version? I'm participating in another discussion about the issue and Infinitekind support has posted to that discussion but there's been no mention of the new version.

    Hi derekkent23, thanks for responding! The windows preview build is only available as a 64 bit version and my windows version is 32 bit so I can't try it here. I do have a laptop running windows 7 64 bit. I'll try it there shortly.
    Have you had tried connecting to USBank with this new version?

    I am not a customer of US Band and anyway only US Banks support Direct Connect.
    So as I am in the UK like the rest of the world I simple download a file from my banks online account and import that. No problems with banks changing Direct Connect from time to time, download method just works.

    I was wondering about download/import as an alternative to direct connect. With download/import do you have any issues with duplicate transactions?

    My process is I manually enter transactions as they occur then one a month download a file from my bank and import it into Moneydance. In short Moneydance matches my manually entered transaction with the downloaded transaction and I click to merge them. So, no duplicates. if you bank offers them use QFX or OFX files.
    There are a number of option on how to do this, the one I use is just one of them.

    under Preferences you can also select to
    Mark Transactions as Cleared When Confirmed – green dot.
    Use Bank Date for Merge Transactions.
    Automatically Merge Downloaded Transactions - although I have not tried that.
