ofx.ingdirect.com is unreachable when syncing online banking.
It appears that captialone has retired the ofx.ingdirect.com domain. I started receiving an exception that ofx.ingdirect.com is unreachable when syncing my ingdirect bank account.
It appears the new address is ofx.captalone360.com (199.15.190.151).
As a work around i have updated my hosts file to point ofx.ingdirect.com to 199.15.190.151.

Can you try re-creating your connection with your financial institution and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? You will need to disable your current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you can follow these steps:
1) Select your bank account in Moneydance
2) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
3) Click the "Disable" button. If you don't see a disable button, continue to step 5.
4) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu (again)
5) Click the "New Connection" button and select your bank and hit OK
6) Continue with the setup process, entering your username/password
7) Repeat steps 1-6 for any additional accounts
Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to download the updated information, which should then allow you to connect.
Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems after recreating your connection.

I will try that later... but if you are hardcoding ofx.ingdirect.com as the address, then it won't work.. the url is no longer resolvable in DNS.

It appears that the whole ingdirect.com domain has been removed from dns.

Hi Jon,
You are now banking with Capital One, correct? Can you try re-creating your connecting as suggested above and selecting Capital One from the list of financial institutions?

Hi Jon,
We updated our Capital One 360 connection a while ago to use the new URL. Resetting your connection as I described will download the updated settings into your account.

I have lost access to my Capital One 360 accounts as well. Since I also have traditional "Capital One Bank" accounts, my web login for Capital One 360 recently changed.
For web logins, I no longer use the old Capital One 360 "customer number" and "PIN". I use my Capital One Bank username and password.
However, the Capital One 360 web page still lets me create an "Access Code" (which used to be required to let Moneydance connect) which is linked to my "customer number", NOT my username.
When I try to set up online banking in Moneydance, (New Connection -> Capital One 360), I can't figure out what to use for "User ID" and "Password/PIN". Username from my web login, or the customer number? Web password, or cryptic "access code"?
I'm still using Moneydance 2012.5 (862)

To log in with Moneydance, you'll need to use the customer number as your user id and your Access Code as your password, not your website username and password.

Well, after a few login/logout cycles on the Capital One 360 web site, my "customer number" finally vanished, replaced by my username. I finally got Moneydance to connect using the username and the access code.
Thanks!
