Searched the knowledge base for any info on getting UK bank transaction into Moneydance and can't find anything very recent. In the UK there have been regulation changes (Open Banking) that should mean it's much easier to get data out of the banks, and would like to know if Infinite Kind are looking into this.

    Hi baileyms19,

The developer of Moneydance has weighed in on Open Banking. Look to the second paragraph of the following post.

OFX, OFC, QFX and QIF file formats can be imported into most all account types of Moneydance.
Formatted CSV and TXT files can be imported into Bank and Credit Card type accounts.

I am not support staff, just a user.

Just to add I have been a UK moneydance user since 2015 and download transaction files from my online bank account as indicated by Kevin see

If you have not already done so rry thing out for yourself.
    Download from
Downloaded version of Moneydance is a full working version with the only limit being a maximum of 100 manually entered transactions, with no time limit. Imported files from other financial programs and your bank have no limit on imports. If you decided to purchase you are sent a key by email that unlocks the 100-manual transaction limit. If after testing with this free trial version you purchase and change your mind see the 90 day money back guaranty at
For the future Moneydance never sunsets the version it releases. So, you don’t have to upgrade. If you won’t to upgrade the next version is free (say 2017 to 2019) and from then on you get a 50% discount. All upgrades within a version are free.

    Hope this helps.
