Connecting moneydance with my bank

I'm new to Moneydance, having recently switched from Quicken. With Quicken I could download recent transactions from my bank and it would then automatically reflect that in my Quicken account with the "C" -- meaning 'cleared' I assume. Can I do this same thing with Moneydance? If so, how?
Thank you

    I'm a fellow user.

I would suggest you look at the option "Mark Transaction as Cleared When Confirmed" under on the Network tab on the menu option File --> Preferences,

I was not able to find that on my version.

I tried to set up up online banking under the 'online' tab, and then download checking transactions, also under the 'online tab' but nothing happened.

    Hi sohamscott,

From the Moneydance menu bar, go to File > Preferences. (Moneydance > Preferences for Macs)
    https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/customizing-and-preferences/p...

From the resulting form, select the 'Network' tab.
Tick the checkbox to 'Mark Transaction as Cleared When Confirmed'.

To set up Online Banking, you must open Moneydance to the account in question.
Online Banking menu items are deliberately disabled when viewing the Summary Page.

Look to the following Moneydance KB articles for information on setting up Online Banking.
