Online Banking is not disabled in Trial Mode, but you need to have created a bank account and have its register open when setting up online banking, the software will not allow you to configure a connection when you have the summary window displayed.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/473622262019-06-18T05:51:23Z2019-06-18T05:51:23ZOnline Banking Disabled in Trial Version?

Thank you. I didn't have an account selected earlier, that's why it was
grayed out. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with my bank (U.S. Bank).

timckingtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/473622262019-06-18T06:30:44Z2019-06-18T06:30:44ZOnline Banking Disabled in Trial Version?

There is a US bank on the list:

You may have to contact US Bank to set up Direct Connect and your login credentials may be different from the credentials that you use for their website:

https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay/d...

Additionally, there had been recent problems with the US Bank connection that had been resolved with the latest preview build (Trial version is currently 2019.2 (1868)):

When you say "It doesn't seem to work with my bank". Did you get any error messages? It would be helpful to know for IK to be able to troubleshoot.

Regards,

I get "The given customer ID or PIN is not valid" when try to download
transactions. The same credentials work with Quicken, but I'm trying to
ditch Quicken. I'm already using 2019.2 (1868).

Thanks,
Tim

timckingtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/473622262019-06-18T22:09:30Z2019-06-18T22:09:30ZOnline Banking Disabled in Trial Version?

There are two methods to automatically download transactions available today.

One of these is Direct Connect which is freely available to all vendors and financial institutions to use. It is generally implemented on a separate computer system and often requires different username/password credentials having a common username/password system requires yet more software and maintenance and many organisations do not take this extra step.

The other is Web Connect which uses your bank's Internet banking site and hence your existing Internet banking credentials. This system however is proprietary to Quicken and is something they charge the financial institution for.

It is quite possible you have been using Web Connect with Quicken

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/473622262019-06-18T23:38:10Z2019-06-18T23:38:11ZOnline Banking Disabled in Trial Version?

I called U.S. Bank and got a person who knows Moneydance. She says they
have to setup a "PFM Connection", which will take 3 days (!) and a charge
of $3.95 a month, which is worth it to me if I can get away from Quicken.

Thanks to all who responded. I haven't really used the product yet but I
can already tell it has great support!

timcking
