There looks to be two different direct-connect options for Chase Investments.
(see screenshot)

Have you tried both of the options?
Can you confirm that you've followed the instructions on setting up direct-connect?
(Specifically Automatic Downloads & Direct Connect)

I am a Chase Visa client. In order to get direct-connect to work with Chase Visa I had to authorize my account(s) for Desktop Apps on the Chase website. There was also a requirement to verify my identity. I was sent an email with instructions on how to do so after attempting to connect to Chase using Moneydance.

I don't know if these same steps are required for Chase Investments but it might be something to look into.

You are correct, CSV, Excel and TXT files can not be imported into Moneydance's Investment type accounts due to the ''Split" nature of such transactions. Those file types can only be imported into Bank and Credit Card type accounts.
