Duplicate Transactions
Hey guys, I've been using Moneydance for the past several years and love it. I just recently upgraded to Windows 10, and when I did it, I decided to upgrade my Moneydance, too.
Today, for the first time ever, I got a duplicate transaction in my checking account when I downloaded data from my bank. I checked with the bank to verify that it wasn't real, and I'm happy to find out that it isn't real, and it's super easy to fix as a one-time issue by deleting the transaction, but I wanted to report it to you so if this is a systematic problem, you can fix it.
If there's any information that you need from me to figure out if this was your software or something that the bank did that caused the software to flake out, let me know and I can send you some data.
Thanks for making a great product. If it happens again, I can try to dig up this thread and let you know.
Thanks,
doug

Which version of Moneydance are you using? Help > about Moneydance
What type of transaction was it. And did other transactions download that were not duplicates? Can you download now and see if the duplicate reappears?

I can get you version if you need it when I get home -- I downloaded it
from the site about 5 days ago, so as long as that version hasn't changed
in the last week, it's that one. 2015.something 64-bit (sorry for being
vague, I'm a software developer and I hate when people do that, I just
can't get to my PC right now)
This was a Paypal withdrawal from my checking account. That was the only
transaction that was downloaded (it was the only one outstanding since last
time I downloaded), and after deleting the duplicate and hitting download
again, it did not duplicate it a second time.
Thanks,
doug

If you downloaded 5 days ago you should have build 1299. It sounds like it was a xfer transaction. There was a bug that had some deleted transfers not being remembered by the app and re-downloading.
This should be a one-off, with the new download triggering MD to remembering this transaction. If it happens again please let us know.
