Hi Mike.

It looks like some banks are now not following the spec for QFX/OFX files.

Do a FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – EXPORT BACKUP in case the following does not work for you.

Moneydance has added a workaround. Make sure under FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – PREFERENCES – NETWORK that IGNORE TRANSACTION TYPE IN FAVOR OF AMOUNT SIGN is ticked and see if that helps.

If your build of 2019 hasn’t got this fix update from https://infinitekind.com/preview

For transaction already entered double click on the amount and add a “-“ in front of the value, when you re-save the transaction the value will switch to the other type.

If you have other banks that work, I am not sure what happens to them if you have the box tick when you import.

All my bank follow the rules so I don’t need to tick the box. However, I did restore a backup to do a test. Ticked the box and did an import on one of my banks and there were no issues.

Perhaps do a test, first do an EXPORT BACKUP and if something goes wrong do a RESTORE FROM BACKUP.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/478640522019-11-26T04:02:06Z2019-11-26T11:04:31ZImporting web connect from Bank of America

Thanks very much for the suggestion—it definitely helped!

Michael Swensontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/478640522019-11-26T13:43:48Z2019-11-26T13:43:48ZImporting web connect from Bank of America

I am not support staff, just a user.
