Can I download transactions from my bank into Moneydance to help balance my accounts? Can I import CSV files since I use a service to keep track of all my credit card transactions and they use CSV.

    Yes transactions can be imported.

For text files you have two possible options

    1. Text file importer - installed using the extensions menu

    2. Third part CSV importer extension - downloaded directly form the developers website:

    https://github.com/stant/mdcsvimporter2015/releases/tag/v19

Ideally formats like OFX/QFX are the best to import, followed by QIF. CSV files often require some work as they are essentially just a table of information.

    Hi Jeff,

I see that dwg has already replied to you. As he mentioned...

So as to import CSV files for your Credit Card account, you will need to install one of two available Moneydance extensions:
    The Text File Importer
    The CSV Importer

To install the Text File Importer:
From the Moneydance menu bar, go to Extensions > Manage Extensions. In the resulting window, install the Text File Importer.

    To install the CSV Importer:
You'll need to d/l it from the developer's website. https://github.com/stant/mdcsvimporter2015/releases

Post back if you need help with importing your CSV and I'll try to give you a hand with it.
