It errors out when I attempt to put in the password and the response looks like it comes from Chase about verifying account but I don't see a way to do that. What I really want is your application to be able to download all my accounts like Mint does. Is that possible? It doesn't seem clear to me how to do that.

Scott Moultontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/480699532020-02-06T21:34:00Z2020-02-06T21:34:00ZConfused

Hi Scott,

I'm a Moneydance user and a Chase Visa client.

Before running the 'Set Up Online Banking' routine in Moneydance, you need to authorize your account(s) for access by desktop software. You do so on the Chase website. If you need help with this, let me know and I'll walk you through it.

Once you've authorized your account(s) go ahead with the steps for setting up online banking in Moneydance. Take your time with this. There is no room for error.

You may or may not receive an error indicating that you need to verify your identity. Log back on to the Chase website and check your Secure Message Center. There should be a message there with instructions on how to verify your identity. Don't worry it's very simple.

Afterwards you should be able connect to Chase.

In Moneydance, use the Download... option listed under the 'Online' menu on the main Moneydance menu bar. If that works, then going forward you can use either the Download menu item or the 'Download' button at the top of the Chase account register. Personally, I prefer key-combo(s) CTRL-D or CTRL-SHIFT-D.
