    Hello,

Unfortunately, Bank of America abruptly stopped activating new direct OFX connections for their customers a few years ago, which programs like Moneydance require to be able to securely communicate with banks. Despite customer complaints, they seem to be set on this path. It seems like those who already had connections activated can still use them (for the time being at least), but customers have been overall unsuccessful in getting them to activate any new accounts for these connections.

If your accounts have not been previously activated for direct connections, the best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX, OFC, or QIF files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.

If Bank of America changes their mind and begins to support direct OFX connections again, we will be happy to work with them.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

    Ethan
