download current info going to wrong account

I have a new Charles Schwab investment account set up and it downloads the buys correctly. But today in my download there were two "interest income" entries that came in as Xfr entries and automatically went to an account outside of Schwab? I tried to change the transfer account from the wrong one to my Schwab investment account but it is not available in the selection pull down? Tried to make an investment account called Schwab Bank but that doesn't show up either. And could not change category to "interest income"

I also tried changing the Xfr to MIsInc and was able to assign that to the Schwab Value Advantage Fund that did show up on the pull down list . But don't know if this is correct?

How should things like this be handled.

    User here...
Schwab sends out their interest income entries strangely.
Both MD and Quicken have trouble interpreting them.

I have had to correct these monthly in Quicken for years and now in MD as well.
Once you get the hang of it, though, it's not that problematic, just repetitive.

Change the XFR action type to DIV - the transfer to a cash account will then disappear.
I also then assign a category (Dividend Income) to the TXN.

That's what I do, and yes, I got two today as well. Hope that helps.

    Thank you for this guidance!

I have been enjoying the change to Moneydance and this Schwab account is
brand new so want to keep it correct if possible.

My old Etrade acounts from Quicken go back to the 90's and I had to make
adjusting entries when importing it to Moneydance. But the current values
are correct so will just have to ignore the history...

    Regards, Roy

The history becomes a diary. Adjustments keep you moving forward.

Yep, you'll do the XFR/DIV bit every month. Just part of the deal.
It was part of the deal in Quicken as well.

My account is named 1985-2020 if that informs....
