Many banks will only send a few months worth of data via direct connections. Moneydance will accept whatever the bank sends; there is no way for the program to ask for more than that. I would suggest to get your transactions into Moneydanceby using a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. That method usually has options for a longer date range, although again, this varies from bank to bank. You can download into QFX, OFX, OFC, or QIF files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

wouldn't grab transactions between certain dates for the account. To
clarify, I'm not downloading them and importing - my amex accounts support
the direct download option in the *online *menu, whereby moneydance
downloads the transactions itself.
The reason I know it's a moneydance issue is that I worked around it by
opening an earlier saved copy of the file and downloading into that, which
got all the missing transactions. Then I exported a QIF of the missing
transactions and imported them into the other file - problem solved but not
without a bunch of tail-chasing.
I wonder if for some reason MD blocked those transactions from downloading
because I clicked "reset sync" while attempting to get it to go on the amex
site - at first it wasn't working so I went to "set up online banking" and
reset the account.
In any case there should be a way to tell MD the time period you want to
download when using the "download AMEX transactions" from the Online menu -
and force it to do so even if for some reason the transactions have been
marked as already downloaded or what-have-you.

west onetwoseven
