When I try to set up any account for online banking, I get this error:

Error: An unexpected error occurred javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Couldn't kickstart handshaking

It isn't a bank server issue because I get this error before I can even get to the download list of institutions.

I'm on Version 2019.3 (1880)

Any suggestions?

RJGtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481540892020-03-13T01:41:56Z2020-03-13T01:41:56ZHandshake Exception error

I'm a fellow user.

It sounds like a communication issue between Moneydance and the bank's server. Support will need to know what bank you are trying to connect to.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481540892020-03-13T01:45:50Z2020-03-13T01:45:50ZHandshake Exception error

When exactly do you get this error? Is it when you go to Online -> Set Up Online Banking?

Are you using any firewalls, antivirus software, or proxy settings that may be preventing Moneydance from reaching the internet?

Ethan, it turned out to be privacy software on my PC which was blocking Moneydance. It's working now, although my main bank, Advantis Credit Union, appears not to be supported by Moneydance even though Quicken direct downloads work fine.

RJG
