Hello,

I am looking at the demo of Moneydance 2015, but my bank, First Niagara, is not listed among the banks that Moneydance allows online banking for. I looked at Moneydance approximately 1 year ago and First Niagara was not listed back then either. I like your product and was hoping the new version would work with First Niagara without having to manually import the transactions. Will I be able to setup online banking with First Niagara using the advanced settings for online banking?

    Hi Frank,

Unfortunately First Niagara Bank does not support direct OFX connections, which Moneydance (and other financial software) requires in order to talk directly to a bank.

The best way to get your files into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, OFX or OFC files (aka Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.

You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and thanks for your interest in Moneydance!
