Can not Delete Online Banking Information
Online > Setup Online Banking brings you to a drop down and I have a plethora of ancient accounts there with no clear way to remove them. How do I go about doing so? Please advise.

Hi Ronald,
I'm not from IK Support, but here's a previous discussion regarding the process for removing accounts from the Online Banking drop down list, (which involves running a python script):

That post is dated and the script kicks out an error now. How do I remove
these accounts?

Hmm... the posts dates and references are all from 2020.
I may not be able to help you further, but for anyone to provide further assistance, it would be most helpful if you could provide the version/build of MD that you are using (Help > About Moneydance) and your Operating system.
As far as I know, the process would remain the same, the version of the "remove_one_service.py" that you need may be different.

Sorry it worked. There are a lot of posts on this topic with python code that no longer works. The post you gave points to another post with a working version. Please consider rolling this into your production - it seems like a gap. Thanks.

Yes, that's why I provided it to you. I had expected that you would read the whole thing.
As stated in my first response to you "I'm not from IK Support"
I understand that it could be confusing at times for individuals posting questions on this forum, but since you made it "PUBLIC", you had opened it up to other Moneydance Customers, Like me, along with IK Support.
In any event, I'm glad that you were able to resolve the issue.
Take Care,
Tony (NOT from Moneydance Support)

Ha! Funny. I thought I was logged into support and emailing Moneydance directly. I can clearly see now that was not the case. Regardless, hopefully this will get rolled into the product at some point. There is a gap here to be sure. Thanks again Tony.

Orange colored posts are official IK support. The rest of us are (sometimes) knowledgeable users. A lot of MD is peer support.
Note, that you are asking to remove NOT old accounts, but previously used financial institutions. Is this a really necessary as a feature given priorities and other issues. I am sure at sometime there will be a GUI component for that, but I wouldn't make it high priority.

As a long time MD user, I think it would be nice not to have to find, and run, a Pyscript to clean up the online setup drop-down - maybe an auto-delete if no active accounts are connected to the menu or the current deleting script in the extensions list/function.

Agree 100%

I'm a fellow user.
A case can be made for some scripts to be included as commands in Moneydance - perhaps on a tools menu, for some others their use is probably going to be very much on an exception basis.
It has been suggested there should be a central repository for these scripts, another possibility would be to ship them in the kit and place them in a tools folder in the Moneydance data tree, in the same way extensions are.
