online banking issue

When I try to do online banking from Moneydance it says I need to upgrade the browser. I have the correct browsers just not coming up with your software.

    When I try to go to online banking, it says I have to update the browser in the software.

    allready have he most updated browser but I can't access it from the software.

    When I click on download checking transactions it says browser out of date.

    Then I get the above message

    Also, when I go through the Online banking setup it says wrong user name and password. It is not

    Hi Jay

    The Moneydance internal browser is not the external browser you use.

    The internal browser used up to Moneydance 2020 is a beta and frankly only works on some Bank online accounts, hence your problems.

    The preview/beta of Moneydance 2021 which is in test has rebuild the internal browser and looks close to working with the majority of banks.

    Your second issue using Direct Connect. You Bank must support Direct connect and be listed at

    Normally when using Direct connect your login credentials are different than the ones you use to login online. You either need to phone your bank or with some banks sign in to your online account to set this up. See

    I'm a fellow user.

    If you are in register and clicking on the download button, with direct connect not being set up it starts the embedded browser, this is currently in Beta and is known to not work with all institutions. Hold down the <CTRL key (⌘ on a Mac) when clicking on this button to start your system default browser.

    With Direct Connect the issues we commonly see is that the account has not been enabled for this access, it is often not automatic. The other common issue is that people are using their Internet Banking username/password, where as Direct Connect is usually a separate system with a separate username/password.
