Downloading transactions from bank

For several years, I have been downloading, on a quarterly basis, transactions in my bank accounts into Moneydance. When I tried to download the transactions for this quarter, I was given an error message. I pursued this problem with my bank, Citibank, and they informed me that, sometime in October, 2015, they altered their system and they no longer allow direct downloads into any software. In fact, Moneydance's online account set up no longer includes Citibank as one of the choices for downloading. However, Moneydance's online instructions indicate that if you can download other formats from the bank, such as QIF files, they can be imported into Moneydance. However, the instructions don't seem to say how that download occurs. So I have QIF files for all my Citibank checking accounts in my MAC download folder, but I can't get them into Moneydance. Can you help me with this problem?

Go to file > import. First window will be to locate the file. The next will be the import window where you will direct it to the appropriate MD account.

    Tom,

Thanks. I had tried this before, but the mistake I was making was that I was double clicking on the downloaded file, instead of clicking on “Open”. This process now works. Thanks much for your help.
