Is it possible to have two different authentication credentials for the same bank?
My wife and I have separate credit card accounts with Chase, is it possible to setup online banking and connecting to both of our chase accounts through moneydance?
I originally had my credit card with Chase setup, and the credentials stored. I recently added my wife's and had her user/id credentials saved. I recently encountered an error saying my account with Chase is not found. It would seem moneydance is using my wife's credential to sync with my account.
Is this what is happening and if so, how can we fix?

I'm a fellow user.
When you set up Direct Connection you have to set up each account individually entering your username/password at the time. Thus the software associates that username and password with that account. As you are entering a username/password for each setup you can have multiple logins at the one bank they are all considered separate.
I do not know of any mechanism in Moneydance to change the association, it requires human intervention. Hence I do not see how it would be using your wife's details.
I think it is more than likely that something has happened between the stored information for the account in question and the bank's server.
The usual advise in such a situation is: to reset the connection with your bank you will need to disable your current connection and then recreate it using the New Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you can follow these steps:
1. Select the account in Moneydance
2. Select Online --> Setup Online Banking
3. Click the "Disable" button. If you don't see this button, just close the window.
4. Repeat the previous steps for any additional accounts at the same institution.
5. Select Online --> Setup Online Banking (again)
6. Click the "New Connection" button and select your bank and hit OK
7. Continue with the setup process, entering your username/password
Make sure you pick "New Connection", even though your bank is still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing your bank from the long list of available banks will force Moneydance to download any updated connection information.
With Chase there have been reports over the years that accounts have been deactivated for Direct connect, from user responses the steps to resolve this are:
1. Log on to the Chase website.
2. Look to the large blue header bar.
3. Click on 'Security & privacy'.
4. Scroll down to the 'Resources' section.
5. There, you should see the 'Desktop software' link.
6. Click to activate your account.
You should be able to connect after that. If you still have trouble, you may need to perform one more verification steps. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Log on to Chase's site.
2. Go to your Secure Message Inbox.
3. You should have a message asking you to confirm your connection. Click the link to confirm.
