has just changed their online providers. Their instructions for
Quicken users say to disable online banking, then reenable it. I
tried that for Moneydance, but I get a login error. Based on other
items here on the MD knowledge base, I assume that Moneydance just
needs to update their database.

The new provider web login goes to

in case that helps any.

Thanks for any help!

Brian Hawthornetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365373862015-04-10T14:35:28Z2015-04-10T14:35:28ZBank changed providers, moneydance database still has old provider

We've updated our connection information for your bank, so you
should be able to connect now. You will need to disable your
current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New
Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you
can follow these steps:

1) Select your bank account in Moneydance
2) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
3) Click the Disable button. If you don't see a
disable button, continue to step 5.
4) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
(again)
5) Click the New Connection button and select
"OneWest Upgrade" from the list of available institutions that pops
up. Hit OK
6) Continue with the setup process, entering your
username/password
7) Repeat steps 1-6 for any additional accounts

Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is
still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing
your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to
download the updated information, which should then allow you to
connect.

Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems
after recreating your connection.

to type the name of my bank, "Florence Bank." I did that and
everything seems to be working now. You guys are great!

Brian Hawthornetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365373862015-04-11T14:35:11Z2015-04-11T14:35:11ZBank changed providers, moneydance database still has old provider

Well, it is downloading transactions, but multiple times!
Caveat: at the same time my bank changed providers, I upgraded to
Moneydance 2015, so I have no idea where the problem is coming
from. I just know it worked in Moneydance 2014 with the old bank
provider, but doesn't with 2015 and the new provider.

Here's the problem:

I have one login with three accounts associated with it (two
checking, one savings). Each has a separate account number and a
separate account in Moneydance. This used to work fine. I just
downloaded all online accounts in Moneydance, and transactions are
ending up in the wrong place. For example:

A debit transaction from Checking 1 was downloaded to all three
moneydance accounts.

A transfer from Checking 1 to Checking 2 correctly showed up as
a withdrawal in MD Checking 1 and as a deposit in MD checking 2.
But, it also showed up as a withdrawal in the MD Savings
account!

So, I can imagine this could be my new bank provider screwing
up, or a problem with the way the way MD is handling multiple
accounts per login, or something else.

Help!

Brian Hawthornetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365373862015-04-11T14:40:32Z2015-04-11T14:40:32ZBank changed providers, moneydance database still has old provider

Oh. I think I figured it out.

I disabled online access, and then set it up again. This time,
it asked me to specify which account number to use. Apparently, the
first time, after typing my username and password, I had clicked on
the grayed out "Next" button, since it was taking so long to
confirm the login. That click was then buffered, and when the
account number screen was displayed, it just happened to have a
Next button in the same place, so my buffered click just accepted
the first account number!

Brian Hawthornetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365373862015-04-11T14:54:57Z2015-04-11T14:54:57ZBank changed providers, moneydance database still has old provider

Yup. That was the issue.

So, my problem is fixed, but you might want to put up a modal
dialog while it is confirming the account login, or clear the input
buffer or something.

Thanks again.

Brian Hawthornetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365373862015-04-11T17:16:51Z2015-04-11T17:16:51ZBank changed providers, moneydance database still has old provider

But wait, there's more!

I also setup Online Banking and Online Bill Payment on my
business account in Moneydance, which has a different
login/password with my bank (and used to have a different bank
name, Florence Savings - Business instead of Florence Savings -
Personal). The online banking part works fine and downloads
transactions. But, the menu items for Online Bill Payment and Send
Online Payment are grayed out for that account. I tried disabling
and reenabling online banking/bill payment, but the same thing
happens.

Perhaps the bank still needs something different for the
business accounts?

Unfortunately, it looks like the new Florence bank server
doesn't support bill payment through OFX. They no longer have a
separate server for personal and business banking. You'll need to
use their website to perform bill payments now.
