Can you let us know how you close moneydance, for example does this still happen if there is no crash? Do you use ⌘Q to quit or close the main window?

Also, when you say MD occupies the full size of the screen do you mean that it is in full-screen mode or just the same size as the screen?

Thanks,
Sean

I usually exit MD on display #1 (full size, not full screen)
by closing the window. MD then opens on the #2 display (centered, old
size), then resizes immediately to full size (not full screen). macOS

Thanks!

s2ctag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/489632052021-01-12T09:50:28Z2021-01-12T09:50:28ZWindow appearing full screen even after restart

Can you send me your errlog.txt file? If you go to the Finder (with Moneydance not running) press ⌘ ⇧ G and paste the following into the "Go to the folder" prompt that appears and then press enter/return:

~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you could reply with that errlog.txt file as an attachment, ensuring that Moneydance isn't running at the time, that might help us figure out why the window size and location preference isn't being saved.

Thanks,
Sean

Additionally, I just found out that if I open a new window when MD is in
the #1 display (not full screen) the new window opens on the #2 display
and auto resizes to full size as well...

Thanks

password dialog showed on #1 display

main window opened on #2 display and full sized - resized and moved to #1 display

#2 window opened on #2 display and full sized - resized, left on #2 dispay

#3 window opened on #2 display and full sized - when resized, found that #2 window fullsized as well !!

Not sure the issue is with saving the window pos/size rather than when a
window is opened...

Thanks for your help,
