Downloading Transactions is slow?
Downloading Transactions from my checking accounts is taking longer and longer..... it'll display "3 Transactions Downloaded" in the bottom status bar, then that bar goes white for 30 seconds, then transactions show in the list.
Anything I can do to speed up that 30 seconds? Clear some cache or something?
My data file is 35MB, and it has 14 checking accounts all with the same bank.... if that matters.

There is a cache if somethings gone wrong. But I’m not sure it applies to you. Still there’s no harm clearing it.
If you are on the latest build 3034 then you can install toolbox extension.

Then select advanced mode, OFX banking menu, then you can select delete all or single onlinetxnlist cached records. I would go for the single option.
Do the backup first. It’s a safe thing to run..

Thanks. I'm on Mac version 2021 (2006) Check for Updates says it's the latest version.
I installed the extension, it's on the menu bar, but choosing Toolbox does nothing.
I found the specific script delete_intermediate_downloaded_transaction_caches.py on Moneydance board and ran it (appeared to run correctly) but still taking 30 sec.
I found (had forgotten) that I had the same issue 2 years ago, and Support had me delete and recreate the login to my bank (which maybe deletes caches?) I could do that...
Any other thoughts?

Never/the/less you’ve run an equivalent fix so it won’t make any difference.
I don’t believe there are any other caches, but by all means make a backup and then delete the logon profile and try again.... I don’t see how that will work, but could be wrong.
One thing to try is to open the console (help show console) then download with the console open and see what messages you get?

Didn't make a difference. :(
After running the delete caches script I have 194 cache lists with zero records.... is that expected?
PS: In case I forget to say it later, THANK YOU "Just a fellow user" for what you're doing.... I love MoneyDance and am grateful for the help.

Yup - they should all be zero. There's a bug somewhere where records get stuck in the cache and this causes duplicate download txns for some users which keeps increasing.
As I said: One thing to try is to open the console (help show console) then download with the console open and see what messages you get?

For the record: I installed build 4072 (for other reasons) (after not having time to dive into this problem further) ... and yay, imports now run really fast. Don't know what changed, but I'm happy.
