I currently have about 10 credit cards with Chase, under 4 different loginids. (Self/Spouse/Self Business/Spouse Business)

Trying to get them all to work properly for online download is a problem, as MD doesn't handle multiple loginids well. Often, it puts in a different loginid, even when told the proper one. I usually get it all working when it glitches, although I have done (figuratively) handstands to make it happen - even creating a new account, moving txns over, and deleting the old account which has become intractable.

Today was one of those times when somehow MD "forgot" all the passwords for Chase (only), and I had to go through the routine above again. Managed to get all but one working, but this cc is strange. Even after setting up through the regular "show me the accounts" bit, I get a 2003 error for that account, so Chase is saying that "here is the account", then "2003 - account not found".

Any thoughts? Tried disabling and recreating, made sure loginid matched (it had to, given Chase gave me the account to pick), etc. Tempted to do the "create new account/move all txns over/delete old account" as that worked twice before, but that was on a different issue (couldn't get loginid to be right).

@Stuart - do you think Toolbox would help? You have tons of OFX stuff in there, but this would sort of be microsurgery on one account within the Chase profile. (Toolbox wasn't available the last time this happened)

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491875392021-05-10T20:15:00Z2021-05-10T20:15:00ZMultiple Logins to Same Institution (Chase) a Problem Again

It appears that by following the same procedure - i.e. creating a new account, moving all transactions, deleting the original account, and setting up online banking on the new account - it can work again (as before).

That said, I did this on a test account, as I'm curious what is confusing MD to the point where an account can no longer work for online download (even with effort).

Anyone?

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491875392021-05-12T21:44:40Z2021-05-12T21:44:40ZMultiple Logins to Same Institution (Chase) a Problem Again

Odd serendipity - I'm seeing comments on "ofx stopped working for me" at this time. Of course, I might just be using a hammer to solve all problems, and we have the script to remove a profile, but I'm wondering about this issue, especially for those with multiple accounts in a profile.

It seems like MD does, at some point, for whatever reason, create account information in a profile that is hard to fix. even with disable.

Just something to think about, as if I am correct - it is a problem I can solve, but many would not be able to do so.

dtd
