Can you help with this?

"There was an error importing the file "Checking 1.qtx": java io IOexception."

This occurred when I logged onto my Wells Fargo account, entered my name and password, and then said to download checking account transactions in Quicken format. I've tried this several times, with the same result.

See attached file.

Probably a duff file. Go to Help/Show console. KEEP CONSOLE OPEN. Now try the import again.. Now flip over to console. What errors are there near the end?

    What version of MD?

    I followed these instructions.

There was no disable button, so I continued on as directed..

I provided the same username and password that already works -- the one I used when I got the download error, the one I've been using for years.

And the error says it doesn't recognize that name+password combination.

    What next?

    Hi Thomas,

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

Did you use Direct Connect automatic downloads before this problem occurred or have you always manually downloaded your data in .qif format from Wells Fargo website?

Can you describe how you manually import your data? Do you use the embedded browser or do you use an external browser to navigate to Wells Fargo website?

    Hi Maddy.
And speaking of use cases, just categorize and count the problems users have submitted to you, and develop use cases for the most frequent problems.. This is a bottom-up approach to user manual / use case construction. It should be integrated with a top-down approach, such as:
Table of ContentsInstallation and SetupCustomizing the User InterfaceTransaction Management     Downloading Transactions
            Automatic
            Manual
        Single-transaction add/change/delete
    Reports    Customizing Reports
        Creating New Reports
        Providing Report Parameters
    FAQsFrequently-Reported Problems (and solutions)
    Index
Now use your bottom-up approach to push this high-level categorization of use cases down several levels. Organize the write-up of each section around plenty of tables and plenty of screen shots. The result would also be a template for producing a new release of your software which has a menu hierarchy which reflects this structure. Fixing each of the leaf-node (lowest-level) functions could be done over several releases.
